BIKE PREP
- Bike prep - Refer to the Rules/Prep on our web site.
- Check oil level
- Check coolant level
- Check brake pad level
- Check tire condition
- Check tire pressure, ask a coach or your shop if you’re not sure
- Check controls (clutch, brakes, throttle) for proper function.
- Check bolts and nuts especially ones with fluid behind.
- Tape all exposed mirrors and lights with tape (unless you can unplug your lights so that they don't illuminate, then you can skip taping lights) – try blue painters tape and we’ll also have some on hand!
- Clean and lube chain, check for proper tension
- Check clearance of controls against the bike and fairings, controls should go lock to lock without touching.
- Fairings should be secure
- Clean your helmet visor
MANDATORY
- Required riding gear per Rules/Prep
- earplugs
- Chair (COVID19 protocols) (if you ride down and don't have one, ask and we can provide one).
OPTIONAL
- Bike tools and zip ties
- duct tape
- Windex or polish for helmet visor
- Paper & Pen for Notes
- A folding table to put helmets and gear on
- Ez-up or canopy for shade, as the summer progresses, shade is very crucial as you will be in the elements except you will be under a canopy for for class time.
- Fan
- Tire pressure gage
- Lubes/fluids
- Air pump or tank
- KEY TO THE BIKE or Trailer
- Full tank of gas
- Bike stands if you use them
- Food/snack/meal... power bars, fruit
- Cooler for drinks with ice
- Water... Drink at least 1 bottle between sessions.. if your not needing to go to the bathroom between sessions drink more...
- Gatorade .. Helps prevent cramping
- Insurance Card/Drivers License/contact list... keep them in your jacket or suit or somewhere on you...
- Blue Painters Tape (for lights etc, it won’t leave any residue). ZARS has if you forget.
- A few tools or your bike tool kit
- Bike ramp if in trailer or truck. Usually a few are at the track!
- Any medicines/aspirin/inhalers that you use.
