Weather:

The weather forecast looks great!  Remember forecasts can be deceiving and Mother Nature loves ZARS! Track Days are held rain or shine. If severe weather were to happen within a close vicinity to the track, riding may be delayed and safety protocols followed.  In very few circumstances would severe weather ever cancel our day, being we have a long a day of riding planned.  Should there be any delays or changes to the event, a determination would be announced at the event on the day of.  Please do not call or email the day beforeabout the weather, as we want to make a decision, as close to the start of the event as possible being the weather is impossible to predict. Remember, this is real life riding and a lot of riding can be done in the wet!

Entry from Sept 1-2:  

The gate will be open will open at 7pm on Sept 1 for Early Entry riders (prepaid $10) and pre-paid guests ($10).  On Sept 2, it will open for all riders and pre-paid guests ($10).

Rider Check-in:

All riders must check-in during the designated registration times. You will not need your gear or bike to check-in, just a picture ID. Every rider will need to agree and sign our waiver, then you’ll be given bike sticker, program and a ZARS rider credential that will be in the form of a rider wristband; you’ll need to have this on you at all times and will only be able to enter the track with this wrist band. 

Note – Every Track Day may be differ for entry for gate fees, procedures, and the scheduled times.

Meals (Dinner, Breakfast, Lunch):

There will be a complimentary lunch provided. 

All Track "Add-ons" and upgrades done (after initial online registration) can be done in our Square Store!

Camping:

Camping is for early entry and paid guests only and paddock parking will only be allowed throughout the facility, except the main paddock which is fully reserved.  

Paddock Parking:

There is a lot of parking available in the area for you to set up your pit area.

Use of Electricity: 

If you need electricity, there is fee payable to the track.

Track Ride:

All Novice New Riders must do a track ride (in trucks) before the event begins (we recommend riders new to BHF to participate as well).

Join us at the entrance to the track for the track ride immediately following the morning Rider’s Meeting.   Note – we need trucks; if you can supply a truck, let us know.

Technical Inspection:

You will need to bring your bike and gear (leathers, boots, helmet, gloves) to tech for a technical inspection.  You will still need to meet the bike and gear requirement listed later in this guide and found on http://www.ridezars.com/trackday-prep-rules.  Once you pass tech, you’ll be given a tech stickerthat will need to be displayed on the front of your bike.  Riders may tech in the main paddock per the schedule.

Bike Numbers:

All riders need to have their ZARS assigned number displayed on the front of the bike. The numbers must be 6 inches tall, easily readable and visible. If your bike has dark colors, use white numbers; likewise if your bike is light in color, use black numbers. "Home-made" numbers (ie-made of duct or electrical tape are NOT acceptable). On the registration page, if ordered vinyl cut Rider Numbers, they can be picked up at check-in on the day of your event or you can purchase in registration.

Rider’s Meetings:

All riders are required to attend the Rider’s Meetings per the schedule.  Should you miss any meeting, you may forfeit your Track Day.

***If you are an Advanced or Novice New Rider Rider, we suggest you come dressed in your leathers for the rider’s meeting so you’ll be geared up and ready for your first on track session***

Pit Bikes & Golf Carts:

Licensed vehicles will not need a pit pass, but if it’s an unlicensed vehicle (pit bike), you’ll need to purchase a permit from the track.

One-on-One Sessions with Midwest Champs:

We have opportunities for “One-on-One” sessions with our coaches. It’s for one on track session plus a brief meeting before and after the on track session.

New Rider Mentor:

If you are new to the racetrack and would like a mentor to help and guide you along, it’s only an email away!  Mentors will assist you with questions leading up to the event, helpful tips to prepare and a resource to have at the track and in some cases, someone to pit with as you experience your first track day. Our mentors are experienced riders who are passionate about helping riders like you!  Email ZARS today!

Double Time:

Want double the track time?  Ride two sessions every hour for just $100 more!   Only Intermediate & Advanced riders may ride Double Time.  Upgrade on square!

Track School I & II/School of ROCC:  Upgrade on Square!

If you’re a registered rider in a school, you will receive an additional email with your specific school schedule and more. Schools still have space.  If you’re interested in upgrading to a school, email us.

Track School I and II: The Track School I is a great opportunity for new track riders.  For experienced Novice riders looking to further their skills and build their confidence, join Track School II.

School of ROCC: Not available for 8/10.

Rider Challenge:

Experienced Track Day riders have the opportunity to participate in the ZARS Academy that will train and prepare you to participate in the Rider Challenge.  The Rider Challenge is a 4-lap sprint.  Anyone who has held a race license within the last 3 years will not be eligible. Riders must have at least 2 track days of experience to participate in the Academy.  More information may be found online at http://www.ridezars.com/riderchallenge  Contact ZARS if you’re interested.

ZARS Shootout:

We’re excited to hold our ZARS Shootout for licensed racers with both Novice and Expert classes! Big $$ in payouts!  Riders must register online head of time or before morning registration closes! Pre-register on square for $25 (or $35 on site).   More info - http://www.ridezars.com/racing

First-Time Track Riders - Track Orientation:

First-time riders who have not been on a racetrack on a motorcycle will need to do our track ride (in trucks) around the track immediately following the morning Rider’s Meeting.  After returning from the truck ride, these riders must report to directly to the classroom for the complimentary Track Orientation in the classroom.  

Novice New riders and Track School I riders may have their own session for their first session on track; see schedule for times. After this initial session, these riders will join the Novice group per the schedule.
